Louise Burgess "Joe Bill" Skinner, 95, of Austin went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 14, 2017. She was born in Lonoke County, Ark., on April 8, 1922 to the late Rev. Richard and Lottie Rosalea Heffner Burgess. She loved the King James Version of the Bible and Campground Union Church. She was affectionally known as "Joe Bill", and loved her family unconditionally. Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband, I.A. Skinner, two sons, Bobby and Larry Skinner; her parents Richard and Lottie Burgess; grandparents, John and Sallie Heffner and Seymour and Sally Burgess; two grandchildren, Sarah Beth and Little Ray; three brothers, Lloyd, Johnnie, and Sonny, and dear friends Audrey Lemay, Inez Hagwood, Linnie Horton, and Ruth Snow. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Sherry (Carl) Stracener, Patti (Barry) Weathers, and Rita Schmitz; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three siblings, Patsy, Marcia, and Earl; and many nieces and nephews she loved like her own children. Louise left this note for those she loved; "To my family, brothers, sisters, and their families, I loved you with all my heart. My prayers and love for each of you will live on." Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Monday July 17, 2017 at Smith–Westbrook Funeral Home, followed by the Funeral Service at 3 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Sylvania Cemetery, Ward, Ark.
