James A. Kroskey Sr.

James A. Kroskey Sr., 89, of Jacksonville passed from this life on July 14, 2017. He was born June 8, 1928 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania to the late Anthony J. Kroskey and Marie Giles Kroskey. Mr. Kroskey served his country for 28 years in the United States Air Force, before retiring in 1970. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth L. Kroskey, four sons, James Kroskey Jr. and wife Donna, Timothy Kroskey and wife Cyd, Michael Kroskey and wife Paula, Jonathan Kroskey, two daughters, Leslie Schram and Camille Kroskey. Other survivors include brother Richard Kroskey, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Rosary immediately following.
