BERNICE ANDERSON-PARHAM, 83 died peacefully Tuesday, May 23, 2017 surrounded by loved ones in Little Rock, Ark. Bernice was born March 11, 1934 in Carlisle, Ark., to Theodore and Bertha Anderson. She was predeceased by the love of her life, James Parham; her parents; daughter, Constance Clark; three brothers; and one sister. Bernice was a Jehovah's Witness and an avid lover of all things nature and music. You could often find her tending to her garden, on the lake with her cane pole enticing as many fish as she could, or dancing a jig regardless of the music genre. Knowledgeable in many subjects, if you wanted a great debate, just stop by her long-time residence in Hot Springs, Ark., and be ready to be schooled. Bernice is survived by two sons, Richard and James Parham of Little Rock, Ark; three daughters, Pamela Harshaw of Grand Prairie, Texas, Alice Lemons of Maumelle, Ark., and Bertha Stewart of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bernice was loved by many and will be missed by even more. The legacy of her life will live on for generations to come.
