Frances Blann

FFRANCIS DAVIS BLANN, age 94, of Little Rock, formerly of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017. She was born Aug. 12, 1922 in Warren, daughter of John William Davis and Ruby Speights Davis. Frances graduated from Fordyce High School, Fordyce, Ark., and retired from Simmons First National Bank in Pine Bluff, Ark., on Dec. 31, 1987 as Assistant Vice President of Operations. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Pine Bluff and First Baptist Church, Pine Bluff. Since her husband's death in 2011, she has been a resident of Good Shepherd Assisted Living in Little Rock, and cared for by Arkansas Baptist Foundation. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lester Leighton Blann of Pine Bluff, her parents, and her brother, Henry Edward Davis. Survivors include two nephews, Tim Blann of Sherwood and Jason Blann of Texas ; niece, Jalan Mayes of Texas; and sister-in-law, Sue Blann, of West Little Rock. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Graceland Cemetery, with Dr. David M. Moore officiating.
