Jimmy Fred Stone

Jimmy Fred Stone, 63, of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. He was born on December 28, 1953, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Benjamin Franklin and Helen Mae Stone. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Memphis, Tenn. He worked on the Mississippi River traveling from Minneapolis, Minn., to New Orleans, La., on the Andrew Cargill MacMillan boat. Jimmy loved to collect things and was a kind, generous man whom loved spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Earl Stone, Frank A. Stone and Wanda Faye Stone. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sue Stone of Cabot; his daughters, Sandra Kay Stone and Kathy Sue Schmidt of Cabot; and siblings, Billy E. Stone of Memphis, Tenn., Bobbie Linda Roberson of Greenville, Miss., and Mary Ellen Engle of Bakersfield, Calif.; grandchildren, Benjamin James Stone, Austin Jacob Schmidt, MaKayla Renne Brunson and MaKenzie Chevelle Brunson. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, (501) 843-5816. Interment will follow at Old Austin Cemetery.
