MELISSA BUNCH HOWARD, 65, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was born on December 12, 1951, to the late Betty Jean (Goodman) Bunch and Oscar Raymond Bunch, Sr. Family and friends were Melissa's love and joy. "Mimi's" grandchildren were her entire world, and she was very proud of them. She loved to cook and entertain at her home and made sure everyone had all that they needed and more. She loved television, family dinners, and music — especially Elvis Presley. Melissa retired as a business analyst at Fidelity Information Services after 30 years, making many friends there. She was a member of Ivy Chapel Christian Church, and was involved in their women's ministry for many years. She was involved in all the sports and activities her children participated in, and was her grandchildren's biggest cheerleader. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Buffie) Howard and Matt (Linda) Howard, and stepchildren, Danny Howard and Kimberly (Joe) Walker. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Carley, Gracie, Haley, and Andrew. Melissa is also survived by her brother, Jack (Linda) Bunch; her twin sister, Melinda (Mario) Valdez; sisters, Patti (Keith) Leathers, and Kathy (Randy) Hightower; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Oscar Raymond Bunch, Jr. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Melissa's funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Ivy Chapel Christian Church in Little Rock. Burial will follow at Ivy Chapel Cemetery.
