Frances Annette Crockett Firestone

Frances Annette Crockett Firestone, 99, of Star City, formerly of Dermott, died Saturday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born November 9, 1917 in Carrollton, Mississippi to the late Paul and Cornelia M. Carpenter Hooks. She was a homemaker and a retired librarian for the city of Dermott, a member of the First United Methodist in Dermott and loved her garden and tending to her yard and flowers. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Roy Crockett, her second husband, Silas J. Firestone, a daughter, Annette Crockett Norris Dunn, four sisters, and two brothers. Survivors include one son, Bobby Crockett (Laurie) of Springdale, five grandchildren, Bobby Paul Crockett (Sam) of Springdale, Cynthia Freeman (Dave) of San Antonio, Texas, Hayden Crockett (Paige) of Springdale, Susan Owen (Bill) of Griffith Springs, and Creed Crockett (Amanda) of Harriet. Other survivors include, thirteen great-grandchildren, Jordan and Conner Humphrey, Trey and Kortney Crockett, Jacob McGhee (Brooke), Benjamin McGhee, Alex and Nick Freeman, Sydney Crockett, Taylor and Spencer Crockett, Kale and Lilly Crockett. And two great-great-grandchildren, Beau Humphrey and Presley Crockett. And her caregiver, Jessica French. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 24th at the Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Bro. Brad Elrod officiating. Grandsons and great-grandsons will be Pall Bearers Burial will be a private family graveside in Dermott Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 300 Washington Street, Star City, Ark. 71667 or St. Jude's, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
