Donna (Shoemate) Thomason

Donna (Shoemate) Thomason of Conway, Ark., formerly of Germantown, Tenn., entered heaven on March 24, 2017, after a long battle with dementia. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Foy and Claudie Shoemate. Loving survivors include three daughters, Janet Leigh Thomason of Shreveport La., Edie Cockrum of Germantown, Tenn., Elaine Story (Mike) of Greers Ferry, Ark.; and her precious grandsons, Samuel and Preston Story; sister Janet McNiel (Roger) of Houston, Texas; niece Donna McNiel; nephew Patrick McNiel (Andrea); and many wonderful friends. Visitation will be held in Memphis, Tenn., with family burial in Van Alstyne, Texas. A sincere thank you to SouthRidge Village in Conway, Ark., for their loving care over the past 6 1/2 years.
