Jacquelyn "Jackie" Godwin Wage, 95, of Little Rock, died Monday, May 1, 2017. She was born June 12, 1921, in Banks, Arkansas, and lived most of her life in Little Rock. After graduating from Little Rock High School, where she was a cheerleader, she attended Arkansas Tech, where she was also a cheerleader and Yearbook Queen. She met her husband, Ro, at Arkansas Tech, and they married in 1941. During World War II, she traveled from base to base with Ro, who was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Later, she worked with Ro in his building and remodeling business for 35 years. Surviving Jackie are her three children, Marianne (Jim) McKenzie, Sheryl (Phil) Baumgardner, and Olin (Cindy) Wage; five grandchildren, Scott McKenzie, Kimberly McKenzie, Kristi Crissup, Aaron (Marc) Nixon, and Robert (Erin) Wage Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Chase and Hunter Crissup, and Madison Nixon; and two great-great-grandchildren. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert "Ro" Wage; her parents, Olin and Dorothy Godwin; and brother, Don Godwin. Visitation is Friday from 5-7 p.m. at 30 St. John's Place, Little Rock. Burial will be Saturday, May 6 2017 at 9 a.m. in Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 AR-5, Alexander, Arkansas. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, 401 N. Pine St., Little Rock. Services will be officiated by Dr. Randy L. Hyde.
