Jackie Carl Bartlett

Jackie Carl Bartlett, 75, of Elkins, died May 13, 2017 at Brookstone Assisted Living Community in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Sept. 8, 1941 in Coal Hill, Ark., to Truman Anson and Edna Pearl Forbus Bartlett. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John W. Bartlett. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Lucille O'Neal Bartlett of the home in Elkins; his son, Jeff Bartlett of Fayetteville; his daughter, Lesa Harp of Missouri; his step-son, Jerry Lee Patrick of Fayetteville; his step-daughter, Tonya Patrick and her husband, W.H. Taylor of Fayetteville; his step-son, Duane Miller and his wife, Terri of Elkins; and his sister, Bobbie D. Frazier of West Fork. He is also survived by nine granddaughters; four great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; and a special friend, Norma Stephenson of Fayetteville. Jack retired from the University of Arkansas in 2007 after 48 years of service. He was member of Richland Baptist Church and was manager and caretaker of the Mt. Olive Cemetery for over 30 years. Jack had a deep and abiding love for his family, community and neighbors and he will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Richland Baptist Church in the Mt. Olive Community near Elkins. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 5-7 p.m. at Beard's Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt Olive Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.
