Millie Pettus

Millie Pettus, age 82, of Bauxite passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017. She was born June 8, 1934 in Bauxite. Millie was retired from the Bauxite school District and a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Bradford Sheridan and Beulah Marie Brewer Sheridan; brothers, Harold, Herman, Hubert, Hugh, Carthel and Alvin Sheridan; sister, Alma Scroggins. Survivors, husband of 64 years, John Clayton Pettus, Bauxite; son, Jeff Pettus, Bauxite; daughters and son-in-law, Janelle (Jimmy) Sorrells, Bauxite, Becky Beshears, Bauxite; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Mars Hill Cemetery. Minister will be Bro. Rick Porter. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. before the services.
