Rosie Jean Dunn

Rosie Jean Dunn, age 67, of Wilmot, Arkansas, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. She was a lifelong resident of Wilmot, a retired CNA and former employee of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill and a devoted member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Dunn who passed Dec. 5, 2016; two sons, Terry and Thomas Dunn and her father, Frank Stanley Sr. Rosie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with a caring and giving nature, never expecting anything in return. She also served on Wilmot City Council. She was founder of the non-profit organization: Wilmot Concerned Citizens that helped anyone in need. She birthed a store called, Giving From The Heart To The Community where the community and the surrounding areas are able to buy basic household needs which were not available at that time. Mrs. Dunn served her community and surrounding areas up until her passing. Mrs. Dunn is survived by three sons, Albert Dunn, Jr. (Tracy) of El Dorado, Ark., Timothy Dunn (Lana) of Sherwood, Ark. and Reginald Dunn (Leighann) of Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters, Rosita Lewis (Terry) of Little Rock, Ark., Keisha Allison (Roy) of Little Rock, Ark., Alice Ellis (Kenneth) of Wilmot, Ark.; her mother, Mattie Stanley of Wilmot; eight brothers, Roosevelt Stanley (Marie) of De Soto, Texas, Frank Stanley, Jr. (Deborah) of Little Rock, Ark., Bobby Stanley (Margret) of Spokane, Washington, Isaac Stanley of Overland Park, Kan., John Stanley (Tania) of Edwardsville, Kan., Luther Stanley (Tina)of Roseburg, Ore., Michael Stanley of Little Rock, Ark. and Leroy Stanley of Wilmot, Ark.; five sisters, Emma Knight of Los Angeles, Calif., Cheryl Okekee of Ashburn, Va.; Hattie Stanley of Wilmot, Ark., Frankye Stanley of Overland Park, Kan. and Angela Brooks (Bruce) of Kansas City, Kan.; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Services are 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Wilmot with Rev. Albert Fenceroy officiating. Pallbearers are Roosevelt Stanley, John Stanley, Frank Stanley Jr., Bobby Stanley, Michael Stanley, Issac Stanley and Leroy Stanley. Burial at Saint Martha Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
