Elijah Daniel Howard, 27, of Little Rock, Arkansas departed this world for heaven October 2, 2017. He was born June 24, 1990 in Hayward, California. Elijah accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior from a young age and was baptized at St. Mark Baptist Church. He was immersed in the Christian community that would be his lifelong support from an early age. Elijah was extremely gifted and taught himself to play guitar, keyboard, and drums and he served as a Worship Leader for First Baptist McAlmont Church. Elijah was a mentor to countless youth and his outgoing and engaging nature helped bring so many people into the church. Elijah is survived by his grandmother, Pearl Howard; his mother and father, Eric and Carmen Howard; his brothers, Michael Moriarty and Eric Howard; his sister, Maricella Garcia; his son Noah David Howard; his fiance' Rashanda Smith; his stepdaughter; Jada Broadway; and a host of other loving relatives and special friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Moriarty; his maternal grandparents, Ivonne' and Jose Ortega; and his paternal grandfather, James Howard. Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A celebration of his life will be Saturday, October 7, 2017, 11:30 a.m., at New Dora Baptist Church, 317 Jamison Ave., North Little Rock, Ark.
