Kalliope Kalli Fokakis Stathakis

Kalliope "Kalli" Fokakis Stathakis gained her wings at home surrounded by family on October 19, 2017. She was born in Hattiesburg, MS, on July 31, 1926. Kalli was the daughter of John and Katherine Fokakis, immigrants from Greece. Kalli was preceded in death by her parents and much beloved husband of 48 years, William "Bill" Peter Stathakis. Also preceded in death is her brother, Nick Fokakis and her sister, Juanita Priakos. She is survived by her sister, Irene Caras of Bossier City, La., her devoted daughter, Joanne Stathakis Jacks, loving son, Peter "Pete" Stathakis. She is also survived by granddaughter, Ashley Jacks, "Kalli"s Heart" and her precious great-granddaughters, Paris and Bayli. After a long beautiful life the family rejoices in her reunion with her husband and loved ones. A private graveside service will be held at Rest Hills Memorial Park by Griffin Leggett.
