Wayne Thomas Southwell Sr.

Wayne Thomas Southwell Sr., 83, of Lonsdale, passed away October 19, 2017. He was born on September 27, 1934 in Custer, Oklahoma to the late Lloyd Southwell and Viola Mae Hayes Southwell. Wayne was a member of the Carpenter's Union, working many years as a carpenter. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Little Rock and was president of the Houston chapter of the National Fraternal Society for the Deaf. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth Southwell, sisters, Marie Tharp and Blanche Dodson. He is survived by his wife, Janice Southwell of Lonsdale, sons, Jason (William) Hay-Southwell of Miami, Florida, Wayne (JoAnn) Southwell, Jr of Apple Valley, Minn., daughter, Jan Southwell of Lonsdale, twin brother, Warren Southwell of Oklahoma, and brother, Robert Southwell of Florida, sisters, Helen Roberts of Oklahoma, Violet Smith of Texas, grandchildren, Emma, Caroline, Whitney, Wayne III, Jack, Ava and Quinn. Chapel Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. on Monday with burial to follow at Ten Mile Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday at Ashbys.
