Forrest Earl Frye

Forrest Earl Frye, 85, year old resident of Grove, Okla., passed away on Oct. 25, 2017 at the Grand Lake Villa. Forrest was born on Oct. 7, 1932 in Delaware County, Okla. He was the son of Cleve and Gladys (Sing) Frye. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and a friend. Forrest was a beef cattle rancher; it's not the cattle that make you a rancher, it's the love, hard work and character, and every day that Forrest spent in the pasture, it made him feel blessed beyond measure. Forrest also worked at Walmart for 19 years, where he pushed carts for 15 years and greeted folks for four years. Forrest also enjoyed hunting. Forrest was preceded in death by his parents Cleve and Gladys Frye and one son Steven Allen Frye. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Montgomery) Frye of the home, two sons; Johnny Frye of Grove, Oklahoma and Terry Frye of Albuquerque, N.M. He was blessed with three grandchildren; Jonathan Frye, Vivian Frye and Robyn Diemert, two great grandchildren; Ty and Abigail Harris. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4–6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 both at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Okla. He will be laid to rest in the Southwest City Cemetery. Honoring Forrest's life serving as casket bearers will be Jonathan Frye, Jim Frye, Danny Frye, Mike "George" Frye, Darrell Spillers and Buddy Lairson.
