J Minor Gregory

Dr. J Minor Gregory, 62, died September 20th at Presbyterian Village following an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Emily Gregory; his daughters, Abigail Armstrong (Will) and Margaret Hart (Tom) and granddaughter, Amelia Grace Hart. He was born in Memphis, Tenn. on July 15, 1955 son of Margaret and Noel Gregory (deceased). He spent his early years in Augusta, Ark. and is survived by two brothers, Noel K. Gregory, Nathan Gregory (Brenda) and sister, Betsy Arnim. Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Emily Thom (Sidney). Dr. Gregory graduated from Augusta High School in 1973, and attended the University of Arkansas, graduating in 1978. Following a career in family farming, he pursued a degree in medicine, graduating from University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 1995. Upon completion of his residency he was a partner in Radiology Associates, P.A. A visitation will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home on Saturday September 23rd at 4 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Arkansas Hospice. Dr. Gregory enjoyed horse racing and had a special place in his heart for retired race horses. In honor of that interest memorials may also be made to Old Friends Farm, Georgetown, Ky. We would like to extend a special thank you to the many nurses and caregivers at Presbyterian Village and Arkansas Hospice, as well as the many friends and family who took the time to visit Minor during his illness.
