Kelly Ann Drake

Kelly Ann (Herrell) Drake, 47, of Rose Bud, died Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was born January 23, 1970 in Searcy to the late Elmer Ray and Patricia (Rascoe) Herrell. Kelly was born deaf and overcome so much during her time. She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technologies with a degree in Business. She lost her husband and was diagnosed with Huntington Disease, but she persevered and took care of her two daughters. Kelly's life revolved those girls and her church. She is survived by her children, Anna Christin Drake and Joy Rachelle Drake; sister, Reginnia Head and husband, Chris; nephew, Ian Christian; as well as her ASD (Arkansas School for the Deaf) family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and her husband, Pastor Christopher Drake. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, at the Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob. Interment will follow in the Carter Cemetery.
