Carla Scott

Carla Scott, 66, of Port O'Conner, Texas joined her heavenly father on September 17, 2017. She was born and raised in Arkansas but recently retired to Port O'Conner. She was a member of Rock City Harvest Church in Sherwood, Ark. and a retired truck driver. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, John Scott; daughter, Susan Spencer (Amanda); son, Larry Lester; step-son, John Crowe (Yasemin); step-daughter, Julaya Scott; sister, Donna Brown of Sherwood. Grandchildren, Blake Tobey (Coral); Bailey Tobey; Ben and Courtney Sneed; Aletha, Ashlee, Ashton, Delaney, and Josie Lester; Taylor, Aubrianna, Jaydin and Jett Crowe; Tuviayah Barber, and Destiny Scott. Two great-grandchildren, Arabella, Adaline and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl D. Hoover and Kathryn Todd Hoover. She loved spending time with family, friends and walking on the beach. She was strong in her faith and always showed kindness and empathy to others. Her smile and enthusiasm for life was unforgettable. A memorial for Carla will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Rock City Harvest Church in Sherwood, Ark. There will be a slide show presentation at 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Arthur Ward officiating.
