Keith Alan Koon

Keith Alan Koon of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 26, 1956, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of the late Raymond J. Koon and Doris Deer Koon. He died at his home on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the age of 61. He was a master plumber and owner/operator of Raymond J. Koon Plumbing. He attended Palestine Missionary Baptist Church near Sheridan. Keith was an avid outdoorsman. Whether it be gardening, hunting, fishing, sitting on the back porch watching the birds and deer, raising animals or trying to teach Kati about leaves and trees. He and Janna enjoyed Dutch oven cooking, making wine and spending time together. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Rue Garrett. Survivors: wife of 24 years and best friend, Janna Hunter Koon of Sheridan; daughter, Kati Jones of Bryant; sisters, Sandi Garrett of Conway, Pati (Jeff) Miller of Colorado; nephews, Todd (Stephanie) Miller, Chance Garrett; niece, Maggie Garrett; step-mother, Margaret Hines Koon of Sheridan; step-brother, Gary (Zoe) Hines of Sheridan and a host of cousins, friends and church family. Funeral service will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clyde Chenault and Bro. Walt Hollis officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00-7:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palestine Missionary Baptist Church, c/o Joe Huggins, 906 Grant 54, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
