GERTRUDE WILSON REEVES, 83, of Little Rock, departed this life on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Hospice Home Care. She was born on May 3, 1934 in Reydel, Ark., to William F. and Clara Caradine, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Reeves was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active and faithful member for 51 years, having served as Director of Baptist Training Union, Senior Choir, Sunday School Teacher, President of the Mission Society, and Mother's Board. Mrs. Reeves worked 30-plus years for the Veteran's Administration Hospital. After her retirement in 1997 she went on to work for the Kroger Company for 14 years. Mrs. Reeves was a loving and caring mother. She is survived by her children, Nadine Redwood of Little Rock, Ark., Gary Wilson (Lillie) of Lancaster, Texas, and JoAnn Wilson of Carrollton, Texas; sister, Wilhelmina Caradine of Little Rock, Ark., brothers Charles D. (Helen) Caradine, Sr. of Little Rock, Ark., and William (Taheedah) Caradine of Jackson, Miss.; great aunt, Florine Rollins of Fresno, Calif.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018, at Griffin Leggett, 5800 W. 12th Street in Little Rock from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 7th and Gaines Streets in Little Rock.
