JOYCE SUE WHITE, 75, of Sherwood, Ark., passed away on Aug. 2, 2018 after a long illness. She was born Nov. 26, 1942 in Trenton, Tenn., the daughter of Herman and Elsie Hensley. Joyce graduated from Southeastern High School in Detroit, Mich. She then attended Freed-Hardeman University, where she met Jimmy E. White, her husband of 43 years. Together, they raised four sons. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She spent her working years at the NLR Times, Graybar Electric, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Hatcher Agency, and the Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock. Joyce enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Elsie Hensley, and her husband Jimmy White. She is survived by her sister, Loretta Ballard of Alamo, Tenn.; her four sons Mark (Kenda) White of North Little Rock; Chris (Deanna) White of Conway; Danny (Jay) White of Sherwood, and Jason (Janna) White of El Cerrito, Calif. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Caleb, Samantha, Bryce, Jessanna, Sonny, and Shelby White, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation services will be Monday, Aug. 6th from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, Aug. 7th at 10 a.m. at Roller Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd. in North Little Rock.
