Jean DeJarnette

Clista Jean Knight DeJarnette, 90 of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Born October 9, 1927 at Stuttgart, she was a daughter of the late Carlton Avery Knight and Vera Buffaloe Knight. A homemaker and a long-time member of the Highway 79 Church of Christ (formerly 28th Street), Mrs. DeJarnette enjoyed gardening when she wasn't busy spoiling grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Clifton J. DeJarnette on September 16th, 1990; and four siblings, John Knight, Sara Katheryn Richardson, Carlton A. Knight Jr. & Jo Ann Calderon. She is survived by her sons, Clifton Gerald "Jerry" DeJarnette, Ron G. DeJarnette (Lynn), and Mike D. DeJarnette (Sherry); four grandchildren, Michael DeJarnette (Shannon), Nicholas DeJarnette (Alison), Heather Womack (Scott) & Zack DeJarnette; eight great-grandchildren; Patrick, Elanor, Joseph, Adrienne, William, Jevin, Caitlyn & Kirsten; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 18th, 11 a.m. in the morning at Fuller Hale South Funeral Chapel with Brother Clarence Fell officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will precede services at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
