Evelyn Maxwell

Evelyn Maxwell, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018.Funeral mass: 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. George Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Evelyn was born June 24, 1933, in Little Rock, Ark. and proudly graduated from Mount Saint Mary's Academy class of 1951. She and her husband of 61 years raised their family in Arlington. She retired from University North Texas Health Center in Fort Worth in 1997. She spent her retirement years in Haltom City, passionately involved in the "Cursillo Movement", hosting rosaries in her home, and serving in St. George's Altar Society and collecting friends. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Sonny"; son, Michael; and daughter, Deborah. Survivors: Her tirelessly dedicated son, Dennis; five grandchildren; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; as well as countless devoted friends who became her extended family.
