Janet Carol Wilson

Janet Carol Wilson, 76 of Fort Smith, passed away on Tuesday the 16th of July, in Fort Smith. Janet was graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she received a nursing degree. She was the founder of the Fort Smith Alzheimers Association. She retired from Sparks Hospital, after her long career, as a nurse. Janet was the daughter of the late Charles Baldwin Wyatt, and Vodene Briley. She is survived by her son, Steven, and his wife Kelly, of Virginia. Also, three grandchildren, Brandon Charles Wilson, Devin Wyatt Wilson, Natalie Clark, and five great-granddaughters. Funeral Services were held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at St Paul United Methodist Church. Honorary pallbearers were the former members of Wyatt Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will be held in Pine Bluff on Friday. Memorials may be to Alzheimer's Association, Hope Humane Society, or Saint Paul United Methodist Church.
