Ruth E. Smith

Ruth E. Smith, 96, of White Hall, formerly of Stuttgart, widow of E. Maston Smith, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, July 18, 2018. The daughter of Samuel M. and Maggie H. Henderson, she was born Jan. 16, 1922, in the Sunshine Community. She is survived by her brother, S. Marvin Henderson of Humphrey; her sons, Larry (Nancy) Earhart of Minden, La., Dennis (Marcia) Earhart of White Hall and Darryl (Jana) of Steelville, Mo.; special friend, Freda Vent; seven grandchildren, Gerald Earhart, Ruth Diaz, Seleta Merrick, Nicole Falcon, Sarah Trippel, Steve Schultz and Scott Schultz; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Ben Hulsey, are 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church in White Hall. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home.
