Doris Wever

Doris Wever, 96, of Bella Vista, Ark. passed away April 22, 2018 at Highlands Healthcare and Rehab in Bella Vista, in the loving arms of her daughter. She was born January 28, 1922 in Wilson County, Kan. to Silas O. and Jennie Garner McPherson. She married Elmer Wever Jr. September 10, 1942. Their love was very special, in my heart I'm so glad they have been reunited. Doris loved life! Especially her afternoon cocktail; with her favorite sound being the shaking of ice in her glass. Cheers Mama! She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; and 11 siblings. Doris is survived by her daughter, Kelly Eighmy and husband, Bill of Bella Vista; four grandchildren, Kaitlin Ivey and husband, Mike of Olathe, Kan., Tyler Wilson and wife, Rachel of Santee, Calif., Jenny Gilmore of Norman, Okla., and Kyle Eighmy of Bella Vista; three great-grandchildren, Harper Gilmore, Echo Gilmore and Mara Ivey; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Farmington Cemetery in Fredonia, Kan. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 210 N.
