Silas Carl Byers Jr.

Silas Carl (Bud) Byers, Jr., 77, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away in Springdale, Arkansas, at the Springdale Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, February, 28, 2018. A graveside celebration of his life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Mineral Springs Cemetery, Mineral Springs, AR (Howard County). Reverend Russell Jones will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, a request has been made for donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Alzheimer's research. Bud was born on August 25, 1940 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas to Eugenia Floyd and Silas Carl Byers, Sr. Bud's passion was golf. With almost 40 years in the golf business, the last 20 years he was the PGA teaching professional at Rebsamen Golf Course in Little Rock, Ark. Away from the golf course he also loved to hunt and fish. Bud is survived by his son, Silas Carl (Trey) Byers, III of Bentonville, Arkansas; stepson Russell Crump, stepdaughter; Victoria Albin; his sister, Essie Byers Dean (Don) of Bayse, Virginia; and eight nieces and nephews.
