George Marion Harr, 84, of Stuttgart passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Harr was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Harr, and sons, Rodney Allen and Richard Keith Harr. He is survived by his wife, Sybil Harr; son, Raymond Harr of Stuttgart; daughter, Juanebe (Russell) Allison of Russellville; and step-son, Stanley (Sandra) Grinder of Hot Springs Village. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Harr was a farmer/rancher and member of Producers Rice Mill and Riceland. He was instrumental in introducing the Brangus cattle breed to the state of Arkansas. He served as president of Arkansas Brangus Breeders Association in 1970. Marion's love and dedication to the Brangus breed paid off with the 1970 International Grand Champion bull at the Houston Livestock Show in Houston, Texas. Harr was a proud member of the Stuttgart Riding club and enjoyed raising horses. He enjoyed participating in horse shows, play days and Christmas parades with the group. He embraced everything "cowboy" and never went anywhere without hat and boots. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
