Blanche E Hicks

Blanche E. Hicks, 100, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Monday September 17, 2018. Blanche was born on April 23, 1918 to the late Charlie and Miggie (Diemer) Bryant in Bauxite. Blanche was a member of Barnett Memorial Baptist Church in Little Rock for over 50-years. She loved reading, gardening and painting. Blanche is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, William Stewart "Porter" Hicks; one son: Samuel Hicks; two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her three daughters: Fontaine McGehee, Connie Galindo and Judy Smith; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren with numerous step-grand & great-grandchildren that she loved as her own and a host of other family and friends who will miss her greatly. Visitation will be Friday at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., from 12 noon-1 p.m., with graveside services following at 2 p.m. at Hicks Cemetery in Little Rock, with Stephen, Stewart, Adam, Aaron Briner, Jamie Haskins, Drew Talbert, Michael Smith and Grant Smith serving as pallbearers.
