Georgia (Harper, Curry) Miley, age 89, peacefully passed away in her home on Sunday, September 16, 2018, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She leaves one daughter: Lisa Curry Myrick and her husband Bill, as well as one step-daughter, Phyllis Smiley and her husband Robert and one step-son, Roger Miley. She was affectionately known as Nonnie to her grandchildren: Dustin Myrick (30), Summer Myrick (25), and Max Gollotte (22) and her great-grandson, Nolan Myrick (1). Georgia is preceded in death by: Dr. Woody Miley, late husband; Dr. Max Curry, first husband; and Robin Curry Gollotte, daughter. Georgia was a farm girl who had the privilege to attend Louisiana State University and attain a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She taught school for several years helping her first husband, Dr. Max Curry, work his way through medical school. She had a deep love for family, cooking, bridge, and people. Hospitality was one of her best gifts as she enjoyed helping other people. Later in life she married the late Dr. Woody Miley and enjoyed a full life in Little Rock, Arkansas where she attended Park Hill Baptist Church. Her family will forever remember her keen sense of humor, enjoyment of life, contagious laugh, and great meals she cooked for all to enjoy. Services celebrating her life will be held at Cox Funeral home in Oak Grove, Louisiana on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 5 p.m. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m.
