Glindal Sue Green, 77, went home to be with her Lord on September 19, 2018. She was born, Glindal Sue Benson, in Augusta, Ark., on November 16, 1940. She graduated from Augusta High School and then moved to Little Rock, Ark., where she worked as a secretary. She married her husband, J.W. Green Jr., on January 25, 1961. The couple moved to Stuttgart, Ark., in 1964, where she lived until her death. Glindal was an active member of the community and her church, First Baptist Church of Stuttgart, Ark., where she worked in the nursery, taught Sunday school and served on numerous committees. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1994 with a B.A. in communications. Her joys were her husband and family. Her favorite activities were reading, cooking, serving in the church and traveling. Her special gift was making people feel warm, safe and special. Glindal was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lynville and Lottia Benson, her sister, Doive Clauden Benson and her twin sister, Lindal Lou Bridenbaugh. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Green Jr., her two sons, J. Bradley Green and Jeffery Garriott Green and her daughter-in-law, Lisa Gayle Green. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Allen Benson, her sister, Dotse Mae Stratton, and her five grandchildren: Sara Christine Green, Jacob Quenton Green, Mary Grayson Green, Jeffery Garrett Green Jr. and William Peyton Green. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Stuttgart, Ark., on Saturday, September 22, 2018, with visitation at 10 a.m, and service at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart, Ark.
